Rode

A renovation of an existing home on the site, Rode was lifted to take advantage of city views and allowed for much needed additional space on the lower floor. The house proper remained mostly unchanged however space was made for a new internal stair that acts as a counterpoint for all of the spaces in the home. Access to a new master suit is via the stair landing on an intermediate level. This new wing of the building extends towards an existing pool a encompasses the edge of a new deck. The deck roof sails over the master wing creating the opportunity for a loft area that is accessible either from the deck or the internal stair.
