The traditional Queenslander home is still regarded as one of the most beautiful styles in the region, however with changing times, this calls for changing spatial configurations. Blessed with beautiful weather year-round and generous backyards, we want to be able to engage more fully with the outdoors, and have the ability to entertain in a flexible space. We want our homes to speak of our own individual character, yet not fight against the delicate beauty of the original house we first fell in love with.
Our Musgrave Terrace renovation addresses this simple yet common brief. With new living areas built underneath and a significant landscape intervention, this pre 1911 home has adapted to suit an energetic and growing family. The entertaining areas pivot around a lagoon style pool, with the boundary between exposed and revealed spaces blurred. Here’s a snap shot of the design in progress!
